A Daughter's Hand (ADH) Is a concierge nursing service that steps in to relieve the headaches that may arise when you or your loved one are in a medically vulnerable state. We seek to offer a skilled, comprehensive, and compassionate approach to meeting your nurse-driven needs either on your day of surgery or as you navigate a world of unfamiliar and scary medical needs, medical devices or medical jargon. We have a small network of experienced and caring professionals, who will come to you while hospitalized or at your preferred location here in the Phoenix metro area and beyond.

WHY WE EXIST

Undergoing anesthesia for a surgical procedure can be a daunting and unfamiliar time for many. With advances in surgical technologies and healthcare in general, many procedures are now being done on an outpatient basis. All hospitals and surgery centers require individuals undergoing anesthesia to have someone with them for the 24-hour period post procedure or after discharge.

For the patient that has been medically cleared for discharge by their provider but has dressings, drains, unfamiliar medications and would rather a trained professional monitor and provide education immediately following discharge - you are why we exist.

For the patient who requests to remain hospitalized out of fear of not having a trained professional immediately available to you after discharge- you are why we exist.

For those with busy family members who are not capable of providing continuous supervision or those with no family support nearby- you are why we exist.

For those seeking privacy during their surgical journey - you are why we exist. We exist because we want to be in the business of providing peace of mind.

OUR SERVICES

Attend final pre-op appointments to ensure all questions are answered and post-op instructions are clear & understood.
Transportation to & from surgical facility on day of surgery.
Transportation to & from medical appointments.
Surgical drain management and surgical dressing changes.
Medication management for optimal pain control in the immediate post-op period.
Vital signs monitoring.
Intermittent catheterization or catheter care.
Private care while hospitalized in a patient advocate capacity. We ensure aseptic techniques and universal precautions are upheld while ensuring all needs related to activities of daily living (feeds/turns/toileting) are met.
Provide light housekeeping, dog walking, assistance with small errands for 12 & 24 hour bookings.

Bronze (4 hour service)

RN arrives at hospital/surgery center at time of discharge OR to the client's preferred location.
If applicable, patient is transported to desired destination upon discharge.
Prescriptions retrieved at time of discharge.
Patient is settled in at desired location.
Patient is monitored by RN for up to 4 hours as booking time permits.
If desired, family members are updated on patient condition.
Routine pet care as needed.

Silver (8 hour service)

Concierge RN is contacted at surgery completion by Hospital or surgery center OR arrives at client's preferred location.
RN participates in discharge process to ensure care is specific to your surgery and discharge needs.
Prescription pickup.
Patient is settled in at desired location.
If desired, family members updated.
1 vital sign check after discharge.
Patient is monitored for up to 8 hours as booking time permits.
Routine pet care as needed.

Gold (12 hour service)

Private duty shift while hospitalized or at preferred location.

All benefits of silver package
Round trip transport on day of surgery.
Remain at facility and participate in discharge process as outlined in silver package.
Assess/manage surgical sites and drains as applicable.
Provide complete nursing care for up to 12 hours as booking time permits.
Medication management.
Provide routine pet care, light housekeeping, assistance with small errands.

Platinum (24 hour service)

All the benefits of the gold package plus:

Attend final pre-op visit between patient & surgeon to provide a patient-specific care plan centered around you and your needs on the day of surgery and the immediate post operative period.
Have an RN available to you to answer any questions you may have. This service will begin from date of hire up until the day of surgery or scheduled end time of your booking.
Provide 24 hours of total nursing care upon arrival to patient's preferred location.

2 hour service

Choose any singular or group of services that best meets your needs.

How does ADH differ from other concierge or private duty services?

The most significant difference between ADH and our competitors is that we are not an "either/or" company as we aim to be a one-stop-shop for our clients. This is evident when you take a look at the breadth of services that we provide and make your comparisons. When we say we want to care for our clients holistically, we truly mean it.

Additionally, the RNs in our network have 6 years of nursing experience or more and have experience caring for the most critically ill patients in the ICU or surgical patients in the PACU.

Do you accept insurance at A daughter's Hand nursing services ?

ADH does not accept insurance at this time. When care is not dependent on insurance approval, patients can access the short-term care they need without any of the hassle. Additionally, there is no limit on how long you or your loved one can receive care. We are available to you up to the point that you feel you no longer need us, rather than a set timeframe dictated by an insurance company. We do have payment options for those who qualify.

Is a concierge nursing service right for me?

Concierge nursing might be the right fit for you if you seek the following:

You wish to avoid the run around from insurance companies.
You desire a higher quality of care and an overall better healthcare experience.

Is ADH a home health agency?

No, ADH is not a home health agency. We are a concierge nursing service that provides individualized care on a short term or as-needed basis.

Can I book ADH to care for a minor?

At this time, ADH does not provide care to minors. All patients must be 18 years of age or older.

Does ADH provide RNs willing to travel with a patient?

ADH will review requests for travel on a case-by-case basis. We are able to travel nationally to all compact nursing states. At this time there are 42 states that have enacted the compact licensing for its nurses. Please research to see if your intended place of travel is a compact state.

Due to the planning that would be required for this service, we require advance notification at a minimum of 6 weeks for all travel needs. 50% deposit required for all bookings requiring travel. Deposits made for travel services are non-refundable.

What is considered light housekeeping?

Light housekeeping can cover things such as:

loading/unloading the dishwasher.
No more than 2 loads of lightly soiled laundry.
Straightening up around the home after the day's activities.
Taking out the trash.

Please note we are not a housecleaning service.

What pet services do you provide?

At ADH we understand that our furry friends are a huge part of our lives. As such, we want to ensure that your pet's needs are addressed when you are not capable of doing so. Depending on the service booked, we provide up to 2 dog walking sessions per visit. The goal is to keep your furry family member as close to their normal routine as possible. Breed restrictions do apply.

What errands do you assist with for 12 & 24 hour bookings?

We are able to perform runs to the grocery store, mailbox, dry cleaners or similar tasks.

When can I book with ADH?

ADH is available 24/7. Bookings can be made for 2 hours of service to a max of 24 hours at a time. 12 & 24 hour bookings must be made with 12 or 24 hour breaks between bookings. For optimum service, we encourage all potential surgical clients to book with us when their surgery is scheduled. We are not able to provide continuous care at this time. Exceptions apply.

Are supplies provided?

ADH is able to provide supplies for dressing and ostomy changes. If you require specific brands or products, please ensure they are available for appointment. These and other needs should be addressed when scheduling an appointment with ADH.

Do you offer same or next day bookings?

Same day availability cannot be guaranteed. However, we encourage all potential new clients to contact us with any special availability requests such as same day, next day or travel requests, to see how we can best assist you.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require notice of cancellation at least 72 hours before the start of service, to avoid penalty.

SAME/NEXT DAY BOOKINGS

Clients are entitled to a 1-hour grace period after making a same or next day booking in which to cancel their appointment without penalty.

RESCHEDULING

At ADH, we understand that things sometimes happen that are beyond our control. Clients can reschedule an appointment once per booking. All appointments must be rescheduled within 60 days of original date of service.

Is my preferred location considered travel?

ADH is based within Maricopa county, Arizona. Anything outside of those boundaries will be considered travel.

What if I go over my scheduled time?

ADH will ensure all requested services are completed within the time frame that was booked/allotted to the client. If client requests additional services that go beyond scheduled end time, client will be charged an add-on rate to be discussed at time of booking.

Will I be charged for travel time?

Clients within Maricopa County will NOT be charged for travel time. Travel costs only apply to those requesting services outside of Maricopa County but within Arizona.
